Harpo Marx sighting at re-opening of Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek

Harpo with Broadway Plaza News heralding the opening in 1951

Step right this way for the reopening of Macy's

He didn't speak but he made his presence known, for the reopening of Broadway Plaza, Walnut Creek. Harpo, of the famed Marx Brothers from the 1930's, used a horn, a whistle, and other props at the Re-Opening of Broadway Plaza and Macy's. Why Harpo? Harpo performed his irreverent antics at the original Ribbon Cutting of Broadway Plaza in 1951. It was nostalgia galore, when impersonator Harpo greeted shoppers with a replica Broadway Plaza News dated November 8, 1951.

The event planner was delighted:

"Thanks so much for sending this over. Sergue was amazing as Harpo Marx! A true professional and an a an absolute delight to work with. Much appreciated.

Have a beautiful weekend!"
