Six musicians swim from the South Bay to Pleasanton

It was high tide and surfing for a client appreciation hosted by an investment firm in Pleasanton, CA. The company parking lot was not a sandy beach and there were no huge ocean waves. Instead, there were tiki hut tables, surf boards, flip flop keychains and a BBQ. The surf band "The Riptides" provided classic Beach Boys, Beatles, and music by the Monkees and Paul Revere and the Raiders.

Birds Do it, Bees do it, Let's Fall in Love

It was a de-lightful, de-licious, and de-lovely day at the Masonic Home (Union City) annual BBQ. The afternoon featured 1940's swing music and a Fred Astaire impersonator with a top hat who greeted guests with party favors. The quartet opened the festivities with Cole Porter's classic hit "It's De-Lovely" followed by "Let's Do It, Let's Fall in Love."

Hip Hop, not Do Wop, for San Francisco Bay Area Middle School

Creekside Middle School Students (Castro Valley) had a special reason for attending their End of the School Year assembly. An energetic and lively six-member Hip Hop dance troupe showed the latest 90's dance moves to over 650 students in three assemblies. This was not your typical sit in your seat and be entertained show.  The hip hop dancers divided up their audience, taught break dance moves, and then the students performed their own routines to the cheers of their audience.

And they called it Puppy Love

While many businesses have customer appreciation day, the Blackhawk Plaza Shopping Center (Danville) set aside a Sunday as a tribute to Man/Woman's best friend. Happy dogs, for their honored day, formed long lines with their owners "in tow" for a caricature and keepsake by caricaturist Gordon. #blackhawkplaza
