80's Band Rocks at Palo Alto shopping center

It was all family at the Town and Country Village Shopping Center in Palo Alto. The 80's band "Fast Times" appealed to toddlers all the way to seniors, with a sizable audience dancing to their fun mix of music. There were several highlights, especially when the kids joined the band on stage to "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." A second highlight was the band's rendition of "We are Family."

Kelly Park Jazz and Swing Ensemble at Alameda shopping center

There are no trains at Bay Farm in Alameda and certainly no trains at the lovely Harbor Bay Landing Shopping Center in Alameda. However, singer Lisa Lindsley did take the train and she thought about you. Lisa's rendition of the Ella Fitzgerald's hit song "I Took a Trip on the Train" was one of the ballads during her three hour concert at Harbor Bay Landing. Lisa also sang another song made popular by Ella Fitzgerald, "It's Only a Paper Moon." She ended her three hour concert of standards and show tunes with Nat King Cole's 1941 classic song "Tangerine."

There was a bright sunny day and a cool breeze for the first of three Saturday concerts at the lovely Harbor Bay Landing Shopping Center, Alameda. "The Laurent Fourgo Quartet" provided the perfect match for the many onlookers who spent their afternoon listening to Jazz, Broadway show tunes, jump jive swing, Gypsy swing, and songs from the 80's and beyond.

There was music for every age and every generation when the band "Flashback" hit the stage at Town and Country Village, Palo Alto.. Crooner Laurent began the evening with Sinatra's solid gold hit "Fly me to the Moon" and later transported his audience to New York City and Times Square with Barry Manilow's "Copa Cabana." "Flashback" later performed hits by the Rolling Stones, Meghan Trainer's "Its All About the Bass," and Tina Turner's "Proud Mary." Versatile crooner Laurent also brought his audience back to the late 50's with Richie Valens' "La Bamba."

The lively 70's Motown beat led off the first of five July concerts at the beautiful Town and Country Village, Palo Alto. This Motown Tribute band was back by overwhelming demand, having performed at five previous concerts.
