A Chinese Trio played music on the Guzheng, a stringed instrument with a 2500 year history in honor of Chinese New Year and the Year of the Dog. The lead musician explained the significance of the music to include fishermen and tornedoes with huge waves, a love song, and enchantment and surenity. For many shoppers at the San Francisco Premium Outlets, it was the first time that they were introduced to the Chinese Zither. A Calligrapher drew names in Chinese letters on Silk Fans for Chinese New Year and "The Year of the Dog" at a San Mateo shopping center. The festivities also included Lion Dancing. According to the Event  Planner, "She was great and accommodated everyone's special request."

You bet your life he was there. Seventy of his closest friends and family celebrated a man's 85th birthday at a Santa Rosa hotel. There was one person who wasn't on the guest list. Groucho Marx made a surprise appearance and roasted the birthday boy. That famous duck on Groucho's show, the puppet duck who dropped from the ceiling when a contestant said the magic word, did not fly in with Groucho.
