Dante's magic added to the celebration of Purim, at a 300 person family celebration hosted by Chabad in Pleasanton. Purim is a holiday commemorating the deliverance of Persian Jews from Haman who wished to destroy them. This celebration included the reading from the text, a buffet, and a costume contest.

Dante the Magician later captivated his audience by juggling machetes, sticking a needle in a balloon, and levitating an audience member. Magician Dante then demonstrated close up magic after his show, adding an extra and unexpected treat.

Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras Enliven students at Moraga college

Cajun Zydeco music for Mardi Gras and New Orleans theme, St. Mary's College, Moraga

The St. Mary's College (Moraga) cafeteria was decorated in purple, green, and gold for "Fat Tuesday." Some faculty and some students got into that Mardi Gras spirit and energy with Mardi Gras masks and costuming.

Adding to the festive atmosphere was a Cajun and Zydeco trio, who treated everyone to a mix of blues,  jazz, Cajun, and New Orleans Zydeco. Students marveled at the lead singer who played washboard and harmonica.

According to the Student Advisor: "Thanks Stan! The band was great as always."
