Celebrity Gems arranged Motown/Motor City band at Palo Alto shopping center

The Town and Country Village Shopping Center (Palo Alto) went Motown, Detroit, and Motor City at the fourth Summer Concert, 2016. This was the eighth time that "Top Shelf's Tribute to Motown" performed at this family friendly location. Judging by the audience response and standing ovation, they will perform at this same location 2017.

The Harbor Bay Landing Shopping Center in Alameda journeyed back to the 60's and the time for ducktail haircuts, black pants with the belt buckle on the rear, The Ozzie and Harriet Show, and souped up Lincolns. A classic rock and roll band sang the music that started it all-"Rock Around the Clock" by Bill Haley and his Comets and the all-time do-wop favorite "In the Still of the Night" by the Five Satins. Beetles Invade Palo Alto Shopping Center

There was a swarm of beetles that invaded Town and Country Village in Palo Alto.  Not the winged insects, but the songs from the iconic British rock band, "The Beatles."  The five piece band "Ticket to Ride" brought their audience to a 1960's time warp, Beatlemania, and to The Ed Sullivan Show. The solid gold hit "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club" ended their two-hour concert to a standing ovation. #julymusicfest

Sitting on the Dock at the Lagoon at Harbor Bay Landing, Alameda

The Harbor Bay Landing Shopping Center is a hidden jewel in Alameda. This comfortable and  inviting shopping center, situated on a green lawn with picnic tables and umbrellas, encourages people to shop and linger.  It faces a walking path with a lush blue lagoon. The Otis Redding classic "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" was the perfect complement to this mellow setting and to jazz and soul singer Anna Kristina and her three-hour concert.

Band puts Country into Town and Country

The street El Camino Real in Palo Alto had horse farms and cherry orchids in the 1970's. Today, El Camino Real is grid-locked, home to the hi-tech industry and Silicon Valley.
Town and Country Village located on El Camino Real traveled back in time for their second concert, with the Country and Western band The California Cowboys. This Band's repertoire included classic country- prisons, trucks, mama, and honky tonks. There were also shout-outs honoring our veterans and to the USA.

"What's Going On?" Motown and Soul in Alameda

"What's Going On?" Marvin Gaye's passionate song from the 60's describing urban decay, crime and police brutality had a revival at the Harbor Bay Landing Summer Concert Series. A very fitting song considering present-day unrest with political and social extremism. His iconic song was featured in a three-hour concert with vocalist Wendy backed by her soul and motown trio. There were other classic hits from disco diva Donna Summer, and "What's Love Got to with It" by Tina Turner,  and songs by Roberta Flack, Aretha Frankin, and Natalie Cole.
